Welcome to Kelder Threads! We’re here to make your embroidery experience easy, friendly, and enjoyable every step of the way.

Founded by Laura Wieringa in 2011, Kelder Threads began as a small home-based business and has grown into a trusted company known for quality embroidery and personal service.

Our name comes from the Dutch word for ‘basement,’ a nod to where it all began. Today, from our storefront location on York Street in Elmhurst, we serve businesses, organizations, and individuals with custom embroidery made with expert craftsmanship and a personal touch. Your experience will be smooth, friendly, and stress-free — from the first conversation to the final stitch.
